Our policy
Why we don't write reviews for your customers
Plenty of review tools will happily generate a polished five-sentence review for your customer to paste into Google. We built that once — and removed it. Here's why.
The words must be the customer's. All of them.
Google's user-contributed-content policy is blunt: a review must reflect the reviewer's genuine experience, in the reviewer's own words. Reviews composed by software — assembled from tap-to-select phrases, rewritten by a model, or “improved” on the way to the clipboard — count as fake engagement even when the underlying visit was real. The FTC's fake-review rule points the same direction, with fines attached.
Enforcement isn't theoretical. Google's filters look for the fingerprints of generated text: bursts of similar phrasing across reviews, posting spikes, reviews that arrive from one shared device. What follows is quiet at first — reviews simply vanish — and loud later: a “suspicious reviews” warning on the profile, or a suspension that takes your business off the map during your busiest season.
A five-star rating that gets your profile suspended is worth less than no review at all. That's the whole argument.
What we do instead
Verbatim voice reviews
Customers tap the mic and say what they think. We transcribe it word for word — capitalization and a full stop are the only things we ever add. They edit their own transcript and post their exact words.
Everyone gets asked
Review requests go to every customer in your list — never just the happy ones. Hand-picking reviewers is review gating, and Google treats it as manipulation.
Google-safe pacing
At most five requests a day, batches spread across at least a week, at randomized times inside business hours. A steady trickle looks like real life, because it is.
AI where it belongs
AI drafts your owner replies to existing reviews — your own public speech, which Google permits. You edit and approve every word, and guardrails block promotional or keyword-stuffed replies.
The lines we won't cross
- No AI- or template-written review text, ever — not even a suggested opening line.
- No pre-written phrases or tappable wording of any kind in the customer flow.
- No sentiment gating — every customer reaches the same Google review page, whatever they think of us.
- No incentives: no discounts, gifts, or prize draws for reviews.
- No kiosk mode — the flow runs on the customer's own phone, full stop.
- Voice dictation transcribed verbatim — because saying it is easier than typing it.
- A private feedback channel that's always visible to everyone (never a detour for unhappy customers).
- Request pacing your profile can survive, enforced server-side.
Reviews that survive are the only reviews that count.
